Set Intentions & Experience the Best

Silhouette of a man on a rock.Time continues to move forward at a rapid rate….so fast that often we do not have time to recognize what thoughts, habits, patterns, and old energies are outdated….weighing us down and now mere ghosts latched on from past experiences.

What ever you have experienced in the past that may have been challenging or difficult…..try to understand its in the past and your reality today is totally different.

Past situations can get in the way and hold a person back from opening up to new positive energy.  Attachment to the fear from what has resulted in the past tricks one into thinking that things will continue to unfold the same way…..and a person only expects the worst or less than what they deserve.

Each new day offers new possibilities…..allow yourself to see what could be and shift away from the mindset of what may not be. When you open up to hope and see the potentials….you send out an energetic open socket for the universe to plug into……where it will charge you with new currents of energy and will light you up.

Your life does not have to be the way you assume it has to be because of how it has been up until now. Life can be whatever you want it to be…..when you allow yourself to open to whats possible…and when you honor your soul and your heart’s desire….the universe will line everything up to support you….things will work out.

Expect the best and the best will come to you……your expectations are the cause that will lead to the effects. Don’t underestimate yourself and what you are capable of achieving.

There is no reason why things can’t be perfect for you……truthfully the only thing that can get in your way is your perception of your situation. If you shift your perception….you will respond to your situations differently and the situation will adjust to how you are responding.

Project positive expectations on to you world…..don’t hold back and don’t limit yourself. How would you like your things to be? How would you like to experience life? Think about it in detail… specific…..consider every aspect clearly and concisely and focus on it…..say…. “…YES….this is how I want things to be and it is possible for things to be this way…..because I deserve no less.”

It is not uncommon to get caught up in the daily grind and lose sight of one’s true goals….what one hopes to get out of life….who they really are and not who or what others want them to be. We can lose our connection to our Spirit when we don’t take inventory every so often and revaluate our progress…if we are being true to ourselves….and honoring our Spirit by utilizing our gifts.

It is very important to set intentions….to say our intentions out loud and also to write them down. Doing this anchors our intentions within our everyday life…..its the power of suggestion.

What are your goals for this coming year….this month….this day….or even just this afternoon? What would you like to obtain, achieve, accomplish? Where would you like to be?  If you’re so inclined, make a list in a journal. Say your intentions out loud….verbalize it….speak it and you will live it.

You do not have to be an over-achiever… does not have to be a big deal… do not have to rule the world (though you could!). Maybe its a new job or career, maybe its something more materialistic, maybe it a new relationship or you hope to get out of a relationship.

Setting the intention to do something is the first step to making it happen. You don’t have to beat yourself up if it does not pan out….everything happens for a reason and there are lessons to be learned even in the process of setting an intention and being let down by not achieving it. But there really is power in intentions…..therefore you should honor your intentions. Intentions lead to action!

Dream big…..let your imagination run with it…..this will really instill a sense of peace on many levels subconsciously and consciously. You really can achieve so much… not lose sight of that….check in with yourself and set your intentions!


Energetics of Food: Pumpkin, Creativity, & Clarity

efsomThe energetics of food have a profound effect on how we think, feel, function, and connect with our intuition and spirit.  Of course everybody responds differently to various foods….and it takes a lot of trial and error to figure out what does  and doesn’t make you feel good.

I have a huge sweet tooth and love cookies, cupcakes, brownies, anything chocolate.  But over time I have realized I can only eat so much of these sweets because I am left feeling out of sorts, drained, and cloudy.  There is the trend of watching carbs in order to maintain a good body weight….but my experience in cutting carbs and only eating high protein is that I am super cranky….and I do not think clearly at all….it literally will effect my flow of thoughts and I barely can put together an articulate sentence without stuttering.

For me its everything in moderation…..if I want to eat a cookie I will eat it….but I usually save them as a reward for the weekends and I make sure I am taking my vitamins and eating a lot of greens.   I eat good carbs such as vegetables or even a potato as well as gluten free bread.

I do still have my moments though when I will say….hey…lets just eat this whole box of cookies…..but then I pay for it….again feeling like I’m in a coma….cloudy, my intuition is blocked, and pretty much numb.  With each pig out….I have been reminded of my spirit…..what it requires…..what makes me feel happy and the best….and what is not worth it.  When I eat fruits and vegetables I feel much more energized and in alignment with my spirit…..I am especially much more open to my intuition, connecting with angels and my guides, and aligning with my soul.

Now I am at a point where I am very in tune with my body, mind, and spirit as they relate to food and how each is effected by it.   Fresh greens and colorful fruits and veggies vibrate at a very high frequency.  Think about when you walk through the produce department in a grocery store….the next time you are in there….pay attention to the feelings and vibrations….that whole area vibrates and feels alive!   I absorb that energy when I consume fruits and veggies and it jump starts my intuition and creativity.

MBGJ2Fresh juices really have the kicker….and I’m not talking about cartons of orange juice….I mean green juices made with a juicer.  I go for the green juices with very little fruits….maybe a little apple but mostly ginger, celery, wheatgrass, kale, spinach, and other leafy greens.

Fruits are high in sugars so its best to eat them in moderation.  A lot of grocery stores are now carrying fresh pressed locally made bottled juices….they are a bit more expensive but they are so worth it….. providing more vitamins, nutrients, and energy than a cup of coffee.

What I love about the Fall is the seasonal foods…..specifically pumpkin!  Pumpkin as well as all root vegetables are very grounding for your energy.  If you feel scattered….eating root veggies (including onions, turnips, potatoes, parsnips, yams, squash) will bring you back down to earth and clear your head.   Root veggies are associated with the 1st chakra….strengthening our connection to our tribe or family, finances, and feeling grounded and stable.

sompbPumpkin is also associated with the 2nd chakra….enhancing creativity, abundance, pleasure, and overall well-being.  There’s a reason root veggies come into season when the weather gets cold and when people gather with friend and family…..they provide comfort, stability, clarity, and all the other qualities I mentioned…..which are very necessary this time of year.

Pumpkin is high in fiber so it will quickly help you feel satisfied while also very low in calories.  Its also high in vitamins A, C, B, E, K and antioxidants….. and one cup of pumpkin provides more potassium than a banana!

There are many pumpkin flavored goodies on the market….make sure you read the labels because many of those products are filled with fake processed low vibration ingredients.

Try paying attention to the vibration of everything you eat starting today.  How does one food make you feel compared to another food?  Test out raw veggies as well as cooked veggies and see if you notice the difference in their vibrations.  Take it a step further by keeping a journal of how different foods make you feel and if you feel any more or any less open to your intuition.

The more mindful you are of how your system responds to the energetics of food….the more open and connected you will be to Spirit, intuition, energy, and feeling great!


How Sacred is Your Space?

aHaving a special place within the home where you can go and center yourself can really make a huge difference in a person’s life.   Whether it is an entire room or a tiny table top, creating a sacred space will not only help unlock one’s guidance and intuition….but also provide inner and outer peace.

I remember seeing the Tina Turner biopic, What’s Love Got to Do With It?  years ago…..a turning point in Tina’s life was when she created an alter in her home and began chanting.  She discovered inner peace and the strength to turn her life around for the better….boy did her life get better!  I was young when I saw the film and it really made a strong impression on me….I was so inspired and I really appreciated the sacred space she created for herself….as well as everything she accomplished in her life.

I have my own little sacred space that’s almost like a make-shift alter…..a collection of stuff I love….stuff I find powerful.  Actually I have two…one on top of a credenza in my office…and one on top of my dresser in my closet.

Included in my sacred space is a St. Michael statue my sister bought in Italy for me when I was little…. I also have various crystals and a bunch of crystal skulls I collect.  There are some necklaces I never wear but love and feel have great energy….along with some pendulums.    Sometimes I include pictures of heroes….sometimes prayer cards.  I include the collar from my beloved dog that passed away.  Other times have a lemon from my lemon tree as well as a orchid I’ve nurtured into a blooming beauty.  I even have a coffee mug I love….some fantastic candles….and some fragrant incense sticks.

There is no right way to create your scared space….it can be whatever you want it to be. You could even keep it in a box and pull the box out of the back of your closet whenever you want some sacred time.  A window sill would also make a nice alter.  Get creative with it and see what comes together.  Your ability to bring together stuff you love is scared in itself…..that love and creativity is magic that infuses into the items…making the space very powerful.

Once you have your space set up…..visit it whenever you feel inclined….first thing in the morning….just before bed…whenever is best for you.  This can be a place to meditate, to pray, to take deep breaths, to chant, or to just clear your mind and think about nothing.

Create your space….celebrate it…..and use it!  You may find you are happier….less stressed out….more connected to your guides, angels, your intuition…..and your light will shiner brighter than ever!

Where Do You Find Inspiration?

somlgWho or what inspires you?  Do you ever find yourself watching or listening to someone and you think….wow….thats amazing…..look at what they bring through to the world!

Every single person has a gift to share with the world…it does not have to be something advertised and announced to millions of people (though it could!).  It could be something subtle yet powerful that touches a select few.

Recognizing the gifts within others can bring forth the gifts within yourself….inspiring you to create, to be a greater version of yourself, and to express your true Self for your own benefit and the benefit of others.

I love appreciating artists of all kinds… inspires me to want to create and express myself… fills me with ideas and inspirations that fuel my work.  My love for the arts ignites my creativity and in turn deepens my connection to Spirit…..strengthens my intuition…..and effects all aspects of my life for the better.

When I witness an artist expressing their deepest creative Self….fearlessly sharing a part of themselves with the world….being who they truly are, tapping into Spirit and using their god-given talents… lights me up and gets me off my feet….like a domino making contact and leaning on me…sparking  energy within me and encouraging me to create and bring forth something to the world.

Inspiration can be a form of energy healing….transferring from one person to another.  Consider who or what inspires you… does not have to be art related….it could be a teacher, writer, thought leader, family member, an animal, a location, a building, a tree…..anything or anyone.

This can be an exercise to help shed light on how you are inspired and what that stirs up within you.  Focus on that inspiration….meditate on it……and bring it to your heart center so you can really soak it in and then circulate that energy throughout your body.

Appreciating who inspires you and giving thanks for that inspiration, whether it be personally thanking someone or merely giving thanks to the universe, this will ignite your own creativity, uplift your mood, and enhance your soul!

The Pink Bubble Technique

pinkbubbleWhen I was in high school, I was extremely stressed out about my college entrance exams and I discovered Shakti Gawain’s Creative Visualization audio tapes where I learned the Pink Bubble technique.  This technique changed my life and how I manage stress… totally calmed my nerves and I was successful in completing my exams and graduating.  Over the years I have used it regularly when needed and have modified it a bit over time.

Begin by getting comfortable….either lay down or sit back in a chair.  Close your eyes and take ten slow deep breaths in through your nose and exhaling out through your mouth.

Imagine whatever is stressing you out or causing you concern…..put all of your focus on it.  Don’t avoid it…think about it in every detail….your worst fear with it, whatever makes you mad or sad, give it your full attention for a few minutes.  This may be something you’ve tried to block out of your mind….now is the time to face it for a few minutes.

Now imagine a large pink beautiful bubble floating above your head and place all of these thoughts you’ve been focused on within the bubble.  If you have to make the bubble bigger so be it….every image, person, scenario, whatever it is that is bothering you….put it all within that bubble.

The next step is to imagine that pink bubble begin to float higher and higher away from you… is slowly rise….filled with all of your concerns…..see it rise into the clouds…up into the sky……getting smaller and smaller as it head’s toward outer space.

You are releasing this bubble from your consciousness… no longer need it and you are not attached to it.  Let it go…..the vast sky and outer space will know what to do with it…..there is no need for you to worry about it any longer.

When you no longer see the bubble, take a few slow deep breaths again and open your eyes.  You have released that which has weighed you down!

This exercise is always handy to use whenever something or someone is annoying you… can do it anywhere and it can relate to any topic or problem.  From my experience, once I have completed this exercise the problem I focused on and put within the bubble no longer gets under my skin…..I am really freed of its distractions.  That doesn’t mean you won’t still face the challenge….but this will help you manage it… keep it from getting the better of you….and it will empower you to overcome its hold on you.I have always loved this exercise and I use still use it whenever I need it.  I hope its helpful for you and provides you with some relief.  Give it a try and let me know how it works for you….I always appreciate feedback!!!!
